| Hello, to start things off my name is Aerial J. Kruger, and I am attending Stivers School for the Arts. Stivers is an art school located In Dayton, Ohio, and is home to many musicians, artists, writers, and many dance performers. But sadly, recently we lost a lot of money, and adjuncts to the cuts back in May. The sudden blow caused my school to lose a lot of what made up the school which were the arts. The creative department lost the most, because we lost all of our adjuncts but one, the 7Th grade creative writing teacher. All the rest that got us up to this point, with just one year away from graduating into our upcoming writing careers, are gone, forcing us to walk through this desert heath alone. Yes, we have one teacher, who is a great guy, and is picking up a lot of what was suddenly dropped, but we still need more help. To help out the creative writing department, we came up with brochures so that people may donate $18 or more for adjuncts to come back for an hour or more, based on the amount donating. Some amazing young man the other night, referred me to Art Start for help, and with this email I really hope that you are able to do it. I love this school more than anything. It has helped shaped my future and world more than I could even imagine when I first joined this school back in 2003. But, with help from an organization such as you,I'm sure that many more people can have a chance to have the same type of feeling like I do. I feel pretty good about it, and again, I hope you can help. Thank you. |
